Jane's First Rodeo!

Jane and I went to the Rodeo with Marmee and Pappaw this past Friday and it was a blast!

First order of business was to get some grub! I tried to give Jane a little of my delicious burger, but she wasn't interested. I think she was too busy taking in all the sights of the Rodeo. She loved watching all the kids.

Once we were fueled up, we went to see some animals.

Baaa

Jane's like, "what's so great about that animal? It's just lying there."

Mooo

She thought that cow was fascinating. Marmee was explaining that cows like to eat hay.

It's so big!

Jane thought this bull's horns were cool. Just before this picture, it seemed like the bull was trying to touch a boy that standing close for a picture with its horns.

Bok Bok

We said hi to the eggs, chicks and chickens. Jane's like "You mean that, becomes that??"

Chomp, Chomp!

We visited Champions Row and marveled at how much a Champion Rodeo Sheep costs! Jane was trying to imitate the sheep eating lunch.

Can I touch it?

This was the closest Jane got to an animal all day. We didn't make it to the petting zoo because Jane fell asleep before we could get there.

Mom! Look what I can do!

Getting to sit on the John Deere tractor was Jane's favorite part of the day! Pappaw was supervising.

What does this lever do??

She liked it a lot more than I was expecting. It's so fun how kids show you what they like to do even when they're still babies. Jane is starting to be much more of a toddler than a baby though.

Where did the animals go?

Jane got sleepy while we were shopping. It wasn't nearly as exciting as animals or tractors!

Passed out!

Before Jane fell asleep, she picked out the stuffed horse in the picture above. Marmee bought it for her along with a board book called Clip-Clop. It's so cute. She loves her new horse. She will play with her Jo Bhaer in one hand and her horse in the other.

How is everything moving so fast?

We rode the Metro rail back to our car. Jane liked to watch everything go by outside. We had a great day! Jane did so well. I think we wore her out! She slept the best she had in probably a couple months that night.

Genesis 1:24-25
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Luke 12:22-25
Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
