Happy New Year 2020!!

It's hard to believe a decade has ended! The 2010s are history!! 2020 sounds so strange... Like I never thought it would come for some reason. Well, it's here and I'm super excited to see what the year will bring. I'm trusting God to bring us through any challenges or hardships we might encounter and looking forward to the joy and fun I'm sure we'll have. Normally I like to write a quick update on what we're up to in my New Year post, but I have a ton of January Accounting work to do and a super clingy 3 week old newborn. Which means I'm writing some of this with one hand, so that's about all the updates I can give for now! I love to look back at the year that we just finished and forward to the new year by answering the questions below. I'd love to hear your answers as well!

1. What are you most grateful for in 2019?

Flynn of course! I'm very grateful to be on the same page with Sam in regards to our family's size. Honestly, I'm grateful to be done with pregnancy.

2. What was your favorite moment in 2019?

Too easy, Flynn's birth of course. It was so wonderful! Honorable mentions, meeting my niece Bryn and seeing my kids enjoy the beach for the first time.

3. What are you looking forward to in 2020?

Being done with January 2020... Haha! A Newborn and the busiest time of the work year for me is not easy. More seriously, I'm looking forward to finding our groove as a family of 6 and moving forward from the baby stage of life.

4. What goals do you hope to accomplish in 2020?

I hope to teach Jane to read independently. A personal goal is to be able to decrease the amount of work I do by the end of the year. And as always, I want decrease the time I spend on social media and increase the time I spend in prayer and God's word.

Bonus questions for the end of the Decade!

1. Can you pick out a moment or decision that shaped your life the most from the last 10 years?

It's a two fold decision: Leaving Tejas and choosing to marry Sam. It was a decision I made at the beginning of the decade and changed the whole trajectory of my life. I'm so glad I made that choice! I mean look at this family! I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not dreaming!

2. Top 10 moments of the decade?

- Getting Married to Sam 2011
- Deciding to start a family 2013
- Jane's birth 2014
- Atlas's birth 2016
- Schlitterbahn tube ride with Jane 2017
- Alexandria's birth 2018
- Being blessed with our van 2018
- Beach vacation 2019
- Flynn's birth 2019
- Last one is sort of through the years. Seeing how God has provided work for me to do from home from 2014-2019. From Argent letting me work from home, then moving on to Copestone and then to ChurchBiz. It has been an enormous blessing.

Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!! Happy New Year everybody!

Ecclesiates 3:1-8
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven.
A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weap,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
